I spoke recently at a school, and one of the little girls there asked me if I was famous. I smiled, and shook my head no, and said, "I'm not famous, I'm just a mom who really likes to sing and write songs." She smiled and said "okay." I think that's the closest version of the truth. I am a mom, and that is my first love in this life. I am also a wife, and I love my husband dearly. We are opposites in everything except how much we love our kids, and that's what makes us so great.
I also happen to really love music. I love writing music, and I love teaching music. I've been teaching for many years in different capacities, but have been employed at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua since 2009. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Music Composition from Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont. I'm a singer/songwriter, educator, composer, passionate proponent of women in the arts, and an aspiring author. I believe that working together, we can achieve so much more than we can by ourselves.
